the small role of paul sunday has more impact than you think...he went to DP with info he knew was valuble and ended up gettin what he wanted from DP (the whole time he stalled, talikn bout hw and fletch, he knew daniel would come around), it almost seemed like DP saw this as a match of wits that paul ultimatly won, culminating with not spending the night and being honest as it turns out... this is why DP had so much contempt for eli bc eli was trying to exploit and use DP wheras paul simply provided solid info then moved on
Yeah, I think DP also saw a lot of himself in Paul - taking off from home, being resourceful enough to earn some money on your own, realizing what a false prophet your brother was... i think DP respected Paul somewhat, despite the age difference and all. At least, from among the Sundays.
dead on ... i think DP really did see Paul as someone to be respected. Make no mistake, when Paul said, "I'd like it better if you didn't think I was stupid. ..." He really meant it and I think DP got the message.
Paul's impact and presence is easliy overlooked.
