It was on September 29, 2007 , at the Fantastic Fest in Austin texas that There WiLL Be Blood received his very first applause and since then it has been a roller coaster of awards, emotions and more than a simple passion for this movie what we have get with this picture. I remeber the first time i hear about this movie...i was looking for P.T.A.'s biography at wikipedia and i saw that his next proyect was TWBB , i instantily thought that it was a gansters movie or something like that.... i would never have imagined that it would be the amazing and great movie that it is. After this i was waiting to see the trailer like a maniac, i used to watch Coming Attractions at e! entertainment tv but it was canceled so i watched the teaser trailer at youtube .....it was amazing. Then on December 28th,2007 i saw the complete trailer on CNN and i recorded it so i could watch it over and over again. The rest is history.
I miss those days but the only thing that gives me hope is that im waiting for the next P.T.A. film....even though i have to wait 5 years.
Did you feel the same?
I also miss the days of being a newly-obsessed fan, but I haven't stopped visiting this site, so my love for TWBB obviously hasn't faded too much.... although I don't visit several times a day like I used to
I accidentally posted twice, now I can't get rid of this post... haha I fail at the internet
That the interest in this film is still so strong indicates it is likely to be regarded as a classic. The other 'award-winning' films of 2007 have already faded from my mind, although I enjoyed them all at the time.
I haven't watched in a while. The last time I saw the whole film was in the theatre in March. Since the DVD came out I've watched the occasional scene. I was thinking the other day that it's time to sit down and watch the whole thing beginning to end again.
I plan to break it out on my birthday--November 2nd.
Happy almost-Birthday EW...my birthday was a week ago and I gave myself the treat of watching the DVD extras
.
I remember first seeing the TWBB trailer when I went to see 3:10 to Yuma. That must have have been last Sept. or Oct. How time flies.
LVW,
It's nice to think, no matter what's going in your life, that *ALL* of us went into the theater last and fell in love with this film. That's very cool, because usually when I go to a movie, it's either a totally solitary experience, (until I find that other people loved it too), or, I'm just pissed off because people talk during the movie, chew too loudly, whatever. So I love it when I'm actually mesmerized, the way I was by TWBB.
It's probably ridiculous, but just as many people remember certain exact dates for momentous occasions in their lives, I remembered the exact date and time I first saw Blood on the big screen. I was so busy the same date this year that I didn't remember until I was drifting off to sleep.
Actually the one year "anniversary" of the DVD release date is also coming up (April 8). I've been wanting to see it on Blu-Ray, I might buy the Blu-Ray specifically for that date. This must be what hardcore fandom is like.
